Per the HOA Governing Documents any change to the exterior of the home will require the homeowner to submit an alteration application that requests approval from the Architectural Review Committee.
Homeowners must submit an alteration application along with the required pertinent information. The Committee has 30 days to make a decision regarding Homeowner requests to alter their property, and alterations may not begin until an official approval letter is received through the United States Postal System.
- An alteration application.
- A copy of your LOT SURVEY denoting the location of your improvements. It is recommended to use a non-black writing implement so the alteration stands out to the Committee.
- A SKETCH AND/OR PHOTOS which indicates the size, color, and material used in the construction.
- Any other pertinent information related to your alteration.
Often applications are delayed because the applicant does not provide enough information regarding their alteration request. Please note that the Committee wants to make a well-informed decision, and so the applicant needs to submit as much information as possible.
For example:
Screen Enclosures: The applicant needs to submit, at minimum, information regarding the frame and screen color. The maximum height and width of the enclosure is also required. Ideally, a colored picture of the final product would be most helpful for the Committee.
Landscaping: The applicant needs to submit, at minimum, the picture of the requested planting. If an existing planting is to be removed it must be noted on the application. If mulch, stone or a curbing is used to frame the new planting, a picture depicting the size and color also needs to be submitted.
Applicants can submit their alteration application by mailing it, emailing it, or uploading it to the system via the website. Please note, that pictures submitted in fax transmissions are often distorted. Once all the information is received it will be forwarded to the Committee for review. As soon as a decision is made, applicants will be mailed an official copy of the decision for their permanent records.
